Malinda Cramer states in Divine Science and Healing, “To store up a harvest of good and to partake of the true bread in the right way is desirable to all. Behold, the fields are ripe and ready for harvest. Now, is always the harvest time, spiritually speaking. In reaping we may gather tares (people who come to us with numerous undesirable experiences) but the first thing to be done is to bundle them altogether to be burned, --consumed as by fire (denial); thus we gather the good unto ourselves. We find that our storehouse is always full of good things. The practice of truth means constant sowing, constant reaping and constant supply”
But things do not give us soul satisfaction . . .
The movie and book “THE SECRET” explaining the Law of Attraction as is being taught today leaves much to be desired. It does not take into consideration the “tares” that we have planted in the past. Yes, we can frequently get “things”. But “things” do not give us soul satisfaction, nor does it give us permanent health, permanent peace of mind, permanent joy, permanent loving relationships. And, our good is frequently mixed with unforeseen problems (tares). Unlimited good must come from our practice of Truth principles. To have permanency of good, we must center our thoughts, words and feelings on the attitudes that are harmonious with our soul“s desire for expression and not upon mistakes and beliefs we learned in the past. (To put off the “old man” is to cease thinking fear, doubt, prejudice and aversion. Putting on the new man is thinking knowledge, faith and universal love -- without respect to person.” M.C.)
We, as Divine Scientists understand through the Divine Science teachings that we have choices. We can accept whatever comes to us, or, we can choose what comes to us by practicing the principles of love, generosity, peace and good will. This means to intentionally surround ourselves with the ideas that provide us more than “things” will ever provide us. When we fill ourselves with the principle of love, we are love. Fill ourselves with health and we are health. Fill ourselves with soul wealth and we are emotional and financial wealth. Fill ourselves with peace and we are peace.
As Malinda Cramer stated in Lessons in Science and Healing, “The greatest need of humanity is knowledge, certainty, a fixed and unwavering faith in goodness; a certainty of where to turn for health and happiness; and how to realize the peace and rest which is available to all.”
Why does the Law of Attraction not work all the time?
We let nothing interfere with our attitudes of Life. We understand that the Law of Attraction is returning to us what is at the center of our being -- our choices. Yes, it means plenty. But it also means love, peace, health, joy, and all good. We also know that the “tares” or, what I call “negative results from a non-selective mind” are in the world today given out by anyone who has fear, anger, hatred and resentment. While we are in our “learning to practice the principle” stage those are considered our “lessons”. This is not discussed or evaluated in the book and movie “The Secret” --The Law of Attraction and answers the question so frequently given, “Why does the Law of Attraction not work all the time?” Divine Science IS the answer for permanent health, happiness, prosperity and generous miracles.
